good kids dentists in brisbane

Children’s dentistry is an important part of their annual health check-up.

The dentist will check your child’s general dental health, fix anything that may be damaged, as well as starting preventative procedures. At Greenslopes Dental we pride ourselves on ensuring that your child has a fun, and stress-free appointment.

As children progress through childhood to adolescence there are many check-ups, appointments, preventative medicines, and more that are recommended. The cost of these various procedures can mount up. For some families, this can be intimidating, discouraging, or outright restrictive. Luckily, for those looking to lessen the sting of essential medical care, there is some assistance offered.

Because of the importance of children’s dental practices, the federal government has instigated the Children’s Dental Benefits Schedule(CDBS). The program, accessible via Medicare, assists parents with the financial burden of visits to dental professionals. Furthermore, because Greenslopes Dental knows the importance of children’s dental practices, we offer GAP free preventative dentistry treatment for children covered by a health fund.

We also provide bulk billing for eligible children covered by the Medicare Child Dental Benefits. If your child is not covered by Medicare Benefits and you do not have health insurance then we can offer you 20% off all of your kid’s preventative dentistry treatment.

These great financial assistance options make children’s dental care much more manageable. There are, however, certain elements that are not covered by the CDBS. Things such as orthodontics work or cosmetic procedures are not covered. If you are unsure about what you are eligible for, it is always best to contact Medicare. You can also speak to one of our friendly and knowledgeable team. They may be able to provide you with an answer or point you in the right direction.

Greenslopes Dental also offers a few other materials on understanding whether your child is eligible for CDBS and children’s’ dentistry.
